This week we are learning about the war.I learn’t that they don’t get as much food as us because they only got biscuits,salt and English toffees for all there meals.

On Tuesday the two senior class rooms went to Opunake beach for a beach education.The lifeguards were great and we learnt a lot about being safe on the beach.

WHITE HAT:We went to the beach to learn about beach safety,  There were four lifeguards,  Two class rooms went on Tuesday the 7thof February.

YELLOW HAT:Riding fast on the waves while boogie boarding,  It was fun pulling chloe into shore in the the red tubes,  That we got an awesome day at the beach in the waves.

Last week I went to  mouko we spent the hole week there.Every night and day we would walk down to the sea.Me and my friend Crystal would just stand there and wait for a wave to hit us and of course it was high tide coming in so the waves were really massive.Me and Crystal are so light that the waves just knocked us right over onto the sand.We would just stand up and they would just knocked us over again.It was really funny just getting knocked over by these mauve waves coming right at us.Once after we had just been knocked over by the massive waves we standard up and laughed and laughed because that massive wave just hit us with our mouths open it tasted like salt mixed with the sand it was horrible.

MY GOAL IS TO:write more desripitve.

I can’t believe 2012 came so fast.

This week I did my reading for my work of the week.We had to find out about hair loss.I had thick and thin questions to answer.

YELLOW HAT-I answered the questions well and neat.This is important because if it wasn’t neat it would be hard to read. 

BLACK HAT-I need to work on putting it into my own words.This is important because if you don’t put it in to your own words you won’t be able to understand it.   (Read on …)

This week I played  the netball game at Kaponga  the score was 44 to Kaponga and 3 to Matapu. YELLOW HAT -we played together as a team.It is important to play together as a team always we would not score a single goal. BLACK HAT-We need to improve on jumping more and staying back on our own partner.This is important because if we leave our own partner our partner will get the ball.

This week we had Mr Stoddart as are teacher.We made card board houses because our subject was on Frederick Henderson and his famous buildings.

YELLOW HAT-We all worked together as a team once we worked it out and we all had a different  job.This is important because if we don’t work together as a team we won’t finish on time.

BLACK HAT-Next time I am  going to work better and quicker at my job.This is important because if you don’t work quick you won’t get it finished on time.

This week for my work of the week I did my writing our topic was why are boys better than girls or why are girls better than boys. W.A.L.T.  write sexy paragraphs.Each letter in SEXY stands for something.S-STATE  YOUR  IDEA-E-EXPLAIN  YOUR  STATEMENT  OR  IDEA  A  LITTLE MORE-X-PROVIDE  AN  XAMPLE-Y-WHY  IS  THIS  STATEMENT  OR  IDEA  IMPORTANT-WHY  HAVE  YOU  IN  CLUDED  IT.YELLOW HAT-I had good reasons why I thought boys were better than girls.This is important because always it won’t be that good of a story.

BLACK HAT- I need to improve on making it a bit longer and knowing were S-E-X-Y is in my story.This is important because if you don’t make it long there’s not much detail.

This week I chose to put my Writing on my blog because I thought I did really well.W.A.L.T. Write formal and informal writing.                                                                       This is my informal writing.And this is my formal piece.
